Woodbridge Township School District has switched to all-remote learning at several schools after a week-long fall break.
Woodbridge Schools Superintendent Robert Zega said the schools returned to virtual instruction starting Tuesday and continuing until Nov. 23.
The school district did not release any case numbers, but said there were staff members who needed to self-quarantine.
Decisions at the elementary schools are being made on a class-by-class basis, Zega wrote in a letter to parents.
“By now you have received information from your school regarding scheduling concerns for our staff who will need to quarantine due to close contact or due to travel. As a result, we will not be able to offer hybrid instruction at some schools or in some classes. The need to quarantine for those individuals is an important measure to keep our students and staff safe,” Zega wrote.
Middletown and Cherry Hill school districts are among others that have had to return some students and staff to all-remote learning this week due to a rise in positive COVID-19 cases.
